Stafsjo Valves AB develops, manufactures and globally markets knife gate valves that meet customer needs for shut-off and flow control in the process industry. We strive to be the most accessible, reliable and cost-effective supplier of valves. Stafsjo was founded in 1666 and is today one of Sweden’s oldest works still operating. Since 2005 Stafsjo is part of the German family owned Broer Group that also consist of Ebro Armaturen, which is a leading supplier of butterfly valves, pneumatic and electric Actuators. Ambition Our ambition to provide our customers with products of excellent quality has been unchanged since the start. Markets The vast majority of our production is exported to markets in Europe, China, South East Asia, South Africa, South America, Canada and USA. We are established with a subsidiary in Germany. In addition to this we are working very closely with our sister company Ebro Armaturen and external sales partners in other countries in order to provide fast deliveries and high quality service and support to the local market. Business segments Stafsjo's knife gate valves are used within various process industries. One reason is that the valves are easy to adapt to required media, application and need. Traditionally pulp & paper and water & sewage have dominated, but we are expanding our business in biogas, mining and other industries. Location Our head quarter and centre for production and research & development is in Stavsjo, Sweden, some 140 km south of Stockholm. Located along the major highway E4 and close to the international harbor in Norrkoping presents us with excellent shipping possibilities. In our region we have major Swedish P&P mills and global technology leading biogas companies. To have almost 50% of the Swedish population within a radius of 150 kilometers enables a good recruitment base for skilled employees.

Principally, it’s made to handle fluids and suspensions up to 5%. HL/HG/HP/HPT Stafsjo’s knife gate valves HL, HG, HP and HPT are equipped with a through-going gates for secure shut-off of static and high concentrated media, which often is a problematic duty for traditional valves. All types are bi-directional and tight in both pressure directions. The valves are developed for similar process conditions, but they are designed to work in different pressure classes. XV Stafsjo’s knife gate valve XV is a compact bi-directional valve and tight in both pressure directions. It’s specially designed with regards to good flow characteristics and simple maintenance which makes it suited for both liquids and dry media. RKO Stafsjo’s knife gate valve RKO is a reliable solution at problematic installations. It’s ideal valve for junk traps, coarse reject and cleaners. A circular inlet and a square outlet counteract clogging and blockages of the valve. If needed, the valve can be supplied with an adaptor to a circular flange. D2G Stafsjo’s knife gate valve HG is equipped with two hard chromed gates working towards each other in the bore for fast opening and closing action. It has bi-directional sealing and is tight in both pressure directions. The valve is suitable for contaminated media and reject handling duties. JT Stafsjo’s JT (Junk Trap) is developed to cope with reject media in the pulp and paper industry. It consists of two types of knife gate valves: a standard RKO at the inlet and a JTV at the outlet. In between these two valves is a specially designed reject tank installed. WB Stafsjo’s knife gate valve WB is bi-directional and tight in both pressure directions. It has full bore with very small cavities. The valve has integrated flange gaskets for simple installation. It’s developed primarily for biogas industries and water and waste water plants.
